Applicant Data

We've provided data from the previous application cycle to help students assess their chances of being admitted to a particular law school.

All applicant data contained here was compiled by the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) between September 2016 and June 2017, and provided to us in March of 2018. Information about nationwide applicant volumes can be found on the LSAC website.

The data on this page reflects the law school class that started in Fall, 2017. Applicants were either University of Illinois seniors or alumni, and this data includes all law schools to which they applied.

Illinois Alumni Law School Applicants

In addition to our University of Illinois seniors, last year approximately 152 University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign alumni applied to law school. This is consistent with nationwide trends reflecting that most law school applicants now are working for 1-3 years prior to entering law school.

This data splits Illinois alumni who applied to law school in 2016/17 into two groups: 1) Alumni who graduated 1-3 years ago; and 2) Alumni who graduated more than 3 years ago. We've separated this information from the senior applicant data so that students and alumni can more easily compare themselves to their peer group when considering the successful profiles for individual schools listed below.
